	I designed the new Vimeo.com to showcase the best of Vimeo’s product. Through a new dropdown in the global navigation on Home, visitors can explore all the creator tools to amplify their videos. This redesign also established a new visual language and design system for the future of all Marketing pages.

	Vimeo now demonstrates its most valuable features, all while showcasing some of the most inspiring creative work on the platform. The set is actively used by performance marketing to bring new subscribers to Vimeo and compel existing creators towards more attractive tiers.

Built on our new React components library for consistency at scale. 
	Prior to this project, each marketing page was created without an underlying design or code structure. Alongside this launch, I designed a library of React components for Vimeo’s website to stand upon. Every component was designed from a study into the user experience of Vimeo’s features. All layouts are fully responsive across 4 breakpoints and use atomic and molecular elements to add personalization across specific moments. All icons, for example, are constructed as SVGs so they can toggle to a unique color or localized shape.

Fully localized product visuals 
	It was important to the Marketing team to be able to reach the widest audience of creators. All product visuals and designs are fully localized in the same 7 localities each feature is available in. That’s Japanese, Spanish, Korean, German, French, English and Portuguese.

We launched this project on the heels of producing Vimeo’s hardware photography guidelines. A primary challenge for the promotion was communicating the value of the Premium plan with a Mevo Plus camera – all while contending with low market awareness of the Mevo brand as a standalone camera device.
	&#38;nbsp;We issued an emphasis on Mevo Plus as a standalone value add on top of the unlimited streaming and advanced storage features subscribers can access through Vimeo Premium.

	Designing landing pages for Vimeo marketing, I saw many features were better visualized with motion.&#38;nbsp; I designed and staged storyboards for these select animations. 	Designing reuseable React 
components
	At Vimeo, there’s an active marketing appetite for product pages. As functionality expands, the creative team is tasked with showcasing new value to future subscribers, often on a rigid timeline. Prior to this project, each marketing page was created without an underlying design or code structure. The new modular system allows writers and designers to focus more on creative work and engineers can deploy each page in a matter of minutes rather than a number of days.

	In the designs above, two different features utilize the same Wrapper component. Embedding your video across the internet is one of Vimeo’s most common tools. Embedding interactive screens inside your video is more specialized. The code for each design is identical, but the visuals we pass through each container are more tailored. Flexible components allow us to design with more consideration and spend less time in QA and technical loops.

Fully responsive and meticulously designed for scale.
 
	All designs react to the composition of both graphics and copy, producing beautiful, pixel perfect demonstrations of Vimeo’s product. The blocks can be broken out into individual layout components we refer to as atoms and molecules. These build within and atop one another to form complete sections.&#38;nbsp;With the FiftyFifty component for example, the design can heighten, flip and animate depending on the creative direction of each context. And the entire library is aligned to our grid system, so every component supports 4 breakpoints to expand and contract to.

	The Feed at Verizon
	In Summer 2017, I led the redesign of Verizon’s internal News center. Over 150,000 Verizon employees access work tools, HR and directories through the intranet, and The Feed is its latest homepage.

As a fact, most employees land on the homepage, but immediately bounce to an assortment of work or HR functions. Still, the company asserts the space as the most natural hub for company news. It’s the first thing you see in the browser on all company devices and subsequently produces millions of views a week. Verizon’s CEC team posits functions like organization charts, expense reports and benefits information indicate a timeframe for comfortable browsing as well. The Culture and Employee Communications department relies on this audience for a range of reporting, product media and leadership updates across the business.

	Designed and developed in-house.
	Through a series of panels and interviews, we recognized three user personas for the project. There are those that land on the homepage for a short glance and at the very most, one article click. There are engaged employees who prefer their news generated directly from relevant business groups. And finally, there’s an engaged audience of employees who casually read three to four articles per visit to remain up to date with company movements.

	We designed the Spotlight for time sensitive visitors – up to two rows sit comfortably above the fold with curated stories from the editors. The space highlights a set of headlines readers can consume at a glance – fully digesting the day’s news quickly. The CEC reported a desire to reduce creative turnaround for time sensitive news, and the spotlight responds with a clean, high contast design that removes thumbnail input altogether.
	The Spotlight allows for up to 5 custom dropdown items; from quarterly reporting, leadership changes, brand messaging, even webinar liveblogging – where editors choose between 4 and 8 lite articles to fill the space. Along with most liked and most forwarded posts, “stories people love” and “stories everybody’s sharing”, respectively, the Spotlight hosts 7 total filters. It represents a curated feed positioned to the top for the greatest visibility within Verizon.

	Many articles pushed to the intranet previously existed as generic shells for rich media content like livestreams, commercials and interviews. These items strained the primary timeline in the previous design and produced added load times for engaged users. We developed the Media Wall to host visually driven content directly on the homepage, with an emphasis on flexibility and performance.
	The Media Wall introduces the Feed as a new destination for video content. 4 panels discreetly sit inline one another. The side panel changes daily, and summarizes featured videos. The 3 remaining slots toggle out one at a time, and unfold into the VZ player. Visually, the Spotlight and Media Wall were designed together to align with our print and digital grid system – connecting our internal space to Verizon’s outside presence.&#38;nbsp;

The Timeline lives on. 
	Our final persona identified closely with the generic timeline of the previous homepage. Strategically, CEC places preference on curated stories to align traffic with day to day company messaging. The timeline, however, maintains a personalized feed for readers engaged with specific venues of the Verizon business. We developed the new Timeline to function the same as users know it to, with items feeding into the space as they are published or promoted by their center owners. To manage subscriptions, bounce to feed preferences.

	I designed the navigational behaviors and primitives for Meta Design System, a collection of cross-app experiences that weave thru the Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger apps on iOS and Android.

Messenger Desktop 
	I led the design of Messenger’s desktop apps across macOS, Windows, and Web. Its new design system is tailored to native patterns people expect from their platform of choice, and its product experience raises Messenger to the power of larger screens.

	I led messaging design for the new Facebook.com (2020), launching a lightweight chat system that scales Messenger across the web app’s new information architecture for Feed, Marketplace, Watch and more.

Vimeo Components
	In 2018, I designed a library of React components for Vimeo’s website to stand upon. Prior to this project, each marketing page was created without an underlying design or code structure. The new modular system allows writers and designers to focus more on creative work and engineers can deploy each page in a matter of minutes rather than a number of days. View

	I designed the new Vimeo.com to showcase the best of Vimeo’s product. Through a new dropdown in the global navigation on Home, visitors can explore all the creator tools to amplify their videos. This redesign also established a new visual language and design system for the future of all Marketing pages. View
